The incredible act of a woman in pursuit of salvation led to misfortune

Hidden in the shadow of the tragedy was an act that struck the hearts of many.

In July 2023, Mary Casey, while intoxicated, provoked an accident, as a result of which her one-year-old niece suffered serious injuries, including a brain hemorrhage and skull fractures. After the accident, while trying to help other children in the car, Casey accidentally hit a child left on the sidewalk. For this act, she was sentenced to 20 months in prison and deprived of her rights for 3 years and 10 months.

This case, which has become the subject of discussion and condemnation, recalls the inexorable consequences of careless driving and entails deep reflections on the value of life and responsibility to others.
