Aug. 5, 2026 Demarcus Dwayne Bruno, 48 Lumberton, Texas A tractor-trailer carrying wood pallets overturned on U.S. 96 South near Lorrie Lane. Police said callers had reported the truck swerving. Bruno was arrested on a DWI charge and taken to the Hardin County Jail. Beaumont Enterprise
Aug. 5, 2026 Anthony N. Guglielmo, 38 Greenport, New York State Police investigated a property-damage crash in which a Volkswagen allegedly left the scene. Three children, ages 5, 6, and 7, had reportedly been inside the vehicle. Guglielmo, an off-duty NYPD member, was charged with DWI, reckless driving, child endangerment, and Leandra’s Law offenses. Aug. 4, 2026 Amanda Lynn Keyser, 27 East Worcester, New York Police said a Subaru crossed the opposite lane, left the roadway, struck two mailboxes, and continued from the scene. Aug. 4, 2026 Placido Lopez Lopez, 34 Albany, Oregon Benton County deputies reported that Lopez Lopez crashed a vehicle into a fence on private property. He was arrested for DUII and second-degree criminal mischief. Benton County Sheriff
Aug. 3, 2026 Jordyn L. Jones, 21 Bainbridge, New York A Volkswagen reportedly left Corbin Road twice before striking an embankment. One passenger was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said Jones recorded a 0.09% BAC and was arrested for DWI. New York State Police
Aug. 2, 2026 Jonathan Danilo Burgos Pua, 33 North Salem, New York Troopers stopped a vehicle on Interstate 684 and found an 11-year-old child inside. Police reported a 0.09% BAC. Burgos Pua was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI with a child passenger under Leandra’s Law. New York State Police

July 31, 2026 Carson M. Rehkopf, 22 Near Millbrook, Kendall County, Illinois Illinois State Police said a pickup entered the northbound lanes of IL-71 while passing multiple vehicles and struck an SUV head-on, causing a four-vehicle crash. Three people died, including a 4-year-old child. Rehkopf was charged with multiple counts of aggravated DUI involving death and great bodily harm. Illinois State Police
